one of the owners of the company, Joy is a Professional Interpretive Guide and a 4 season Hiking Guide with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). she just had a baby girl named aurora!
She loves to walk and smell the flowers! Seriously, flowers are her favourite.
Joy also loves to canoe, rock climb, mountain bike, drink coffee and eat chocolate. Coffee and chocolate are essential food groups in a mountain girl's diet. If you'd like to learn more about flowers, the important food groups, or just go for a fun, educational walk, Joy's your gal!

Sean has a can-do attitude, a biology and teaching degree, loves wildlife and exploring things off the beaten path. He's also an assistant ski guide, professional canyon guide, hobby photographer and a keen mountaineer. If you're always packing extra treats and want to spend the day sharing stories and exploring Jasper, Sean's your man!
suka, our trusty friend and mascot, is a lab-X rescue who only wants to make everyone happy.
This ice-climbing, rock-hopping, hiking companion loves to show off for our guests.
A lover of all things cheese, Suka, which means “fast” in Inupiak, lives to please everyone she meets. She was rescued from the local shelter and is a mix of many kinds of breeds. Let her know you have some treats, and she’ll show you all kinds of tricks, from easy ones such as Roll Over and Shake to the more challenging tricks such as Playing Dead (her favourite), Waving Goodbye or Walking With A Limp. She loves to go for long walks in the mountains, and is always excited to go on an adventure with the humans!

With a giant toothless smile, Aurora loves to share off her new skills to everyone she meets.
Having boundless energy, and a special affinity for goldfish, this little bundle of joy loves to be outside. Whether it’s hiking, climbing, camping or biking she’ll do anything if it means she can hang with her Suka-bestie and her stuffie named Ellie. Aurora will happily taste her backyard with anyone that wants to explore the mountains with her.
MARIE-SOLEIL, OUR NEWEST MEMBER OF THE TEAM, IS BOTH AN ACMG AND IGA HIKING GUIDE WHO HAS A TENDENCY TO CONFUSE HER HIKING BOOTS WITH HER SLIPPERS.

Armed with her infectious joie de vivre, she'll take you on a wild adventure through winding trails and hidden gems, all while teaching you the fine art of speaking French-Canadian swear words when you stub your toe on a rock.
Sarah is an ACMG Hiking Guide, IGA Interpretive Guide, Yoga Instructor and a fountain of knowledge on all things Jasper.
Sarah brings more than a decade of guiding experience to the Jasper Hikes and Tours Maligne Canyon Ice Walk team. She is a keen traveler and explorer, having been through, around and UNDER Maligne Canyon and other parts of the world. She has everything including the kitchen sink in her backpack, no joke, ask her!
