Jacques Lake Cabin Overnight Trek
**Current Availability: TBD**
join Sean on a special backcountry trip to Jacques Lake Cabin this winter. Beginners are welcome!
Quick Description: 12 km, one-way snowshoe trip
Elevation Gain to Hut: 250m
Approach Time: 4 to 7 hours
Dates: Dec. 9-10th, 2022
Snowshoe through a beautiful valley nestled between two big mountain ranges. There are several lakes along the way and plenty of opportunity to soak in the spectacular views. We gain 250m over the course of 12 kms, making it a relatively flat trail to reach Jacques Lake Cabin.
After a gourmet meal at the cabin, we plan to stay up to watch the stars and share a few stories our constellations tell in the night sky.
Jasper is the largest accessible Dark Sky Preserve in the world. By staying at a remote backcountry lodge, well away from town lights, with an excellent view of the sky looking north, we hope to see the Aurora Borealis as well!
For all backpacking trips, guests are responsible to provide their own personal hiking equipment. A gear list will be sent to you upon booking.
Snowshoes, ice cleats and hiking poles are all provided with the trip. Sleeping bags can be rented through us for an additional cost.
All prices include the hut booking, permits, food, your guide and group camping equipment. If you want to provide your own food for the trip, please reach out to us and we are happy to reduce the price by $100/person.
